About

Glen HortonHi! I’m from the Internet.

@ Work

I currently serve as the Technology Coordinator & Assistant Director for SWON Libraries, a non-profit in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky that supports libraries in providing excellent services.  Since 1999, I have provided technology consultation, technology training, and facilitated shared projects within the membership.  I get to work with libraries of all types and sizes and it never gets boring.  My areas of expertise include open source software, Linux, web development, mobile computing, and speaking.

I’ve worked with technologies in libraries since 1992. Before coming to SWON Libraries, I worked for the Library Computing Services Department at Wright State University. I started there as a student employee and eventually became a professional staff member in the department.

@ Home

I live in Cincinnati with my wife, two kids, and one very hungry cat.  I am very much a geek, but am often mis-labeled a dork.  I try to spend my free time enjoying music and exploring new technologies, but I usually just get suckered into playing Star Wars and Barbies with my kids.
